From Day #1, Our commitment to Industry Decarbonization
What began as a visionary program from our shareholders has rapidly transformed into an innovative product, our high temperature SOEC electrolyzer system. Through rigorous engineering, our team is building a technology that delivers cost-efficient and scalable clean hydrogen solution, empowering industries to transition toward sustainability with confidence and credibility.
2021 - Genvia creation
Genvia was founded through the collaboration of proven expertise: over 15 years of cutting-edge research in solid oxide electrolysis from the CEA, a century of industrial engineering and operational excellence from global leaders like SLB, VICAT, and VINCI, and the strategic vision of France’s Occitanie Region.
2022 - IPCEI recognition
Our technology was recognized as an Important Project of Common European Interest (IPCEI), with the support of France 2030, confirming the strategic relevance of our solution and strengthening our capacity to scale.
2023 - Stack production operational
Our pilot stack production line became fully operational, marking a significant step towards the manufacturability ( methods, tools, procedures, tests… ) of the heart of our electrolyzer system.
2024 - 1st generation modules produced
Genvia entered the Top 50 of French patent filers, demonstrating the deep technical expertise gained at product level but also plant integration ( coupling with key target industries such steel, e-fuels, ammonia, …. ). This same year saw also the birth of our first modules integrating stacks and part of the balance of stacks.
2025 - 1st full system operational
Our first H2 production ! This milestone marks the successful demonstration of our technology—not just at the stack or module level, but as a fully integrated system, including the Balance of Plant. It embodies our deep expertise and innovation over a comprehensive hydrogen operating environment.
2026 - 1st industrial deployment at ArcelorMittal
This year will mark our first industrial chapter, in a steel plant operating environment in Saint-Chely-d’Apcher. This is the living testimony of our plant integration expertise and end-to-end execution knowledge. Stay tuned!
